Security forces used tear gas to disperse demonstrators in Caracas, Venezuela, on April 10, in the fourth round of protests in the crisis-hit country in 10 days. This footage shows an overhead view of protesters running from tear gas explosions near Plaza Francia, in eastern Caracas.El Nacional reported that protesters responded to the gas by throwing stones at Bolivarian National Guard forces, while BBC News reported that 18 metro stations and 20 bus routes had been suspended due to the clashes and commotion in the streets.Protests have been held in Caracas since last week against the Venezuelan Supreme Court’s March 30 decision to strip power from the opposition-controlled National Assembly, and later, in a separate move, Venezuela’s comptroller banned opposition leader Henrique Capriles from holding office for 15 years .The Supreme Court has since withdrawn its ruling, but the move drew criticism and condemnation from Venezuelan opposition politicians and international governments alike.
