The Academy will keep accounting firm despite huge Oscars blunder

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Science’s board of governors voted to keep the accounting firm that caused the best picture gaffe at the Oscars. The board will continue to use the accounting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers, whose envelope mix-up caused the wrong winner to be announced. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences PWC took “full responsibility” for the mistake and will add new protocols to ensure the slip-up never happens again.
