Vikings tap Latavius Murray as Adrian Peterson's replacement

The Minnesota Vikings have signed former Oakland Raiders' running back Latavius Murray, likely signaling the end of Adrian Peterson's tenure in purple and gold. Murray reached 1,000 yards rushing in the 2015 season but had to settle for only 788 yards as he split time with other backs last year. What was most impressive about his 2016 campaign was his 12 rushing touchdowns, good for fifth best in the NFL. ”Obviously it being my first time, I didn’t really know what to expect but just glad I get the chance to play the game again with a great team with great history here in Minnesota.”
