Hawaii takes Trump's travel ban to court

Hawaii is planning to challenge President Trump’s new travel ban in court, according to legal documents. Trump’s ban involves foreigners from six major-Muslim countries from entering the U.S. for 90 days, and refugees for 120 days. According to a document published by Hogan Lovells law firm in Washington, Hawaii will file a complaint and temporary restraining order in federal court. One of the lead attorneys for Hawaii and a Hogan Lovells partner, Neal Katyal, told CNN that the travel ban still "suffers from the same constitutional and statutory defects” from the initial ban planned by Trump. The federal government will file a response to the case on Monday and oral arguments will begin on March 15.
