Pune Test has brought thrill of new records in the cricket world yet again. The very over on the second day of the Pune Test, India ace off spinner R Ashwin claimed Mitchell Starc's wicket to brake Kapil Dev's record. With the wicket of Australia's Mitchell Starc Ashwin claimed his 64th wicket of India's busiest home season ever, in what is their 10th Test and surpassed former skipper Kapil Dev who had taken 63 wickets in 13 Tests at home. In October 2016, Ashwin took 27 wickets against New Zealand in 3 Tests, and then claimed 28 wickets in five versus England. In the one-off Test against Bangladesh in Hyderabad later, Ashwin took 6 more wickets. He so far has three in the ongoing Test in Pune, with one inning and 3 more Tests to go against Australia.
