DREAMer arrested by ICE after speaking at immigration rally

A young woman applying for the renewal of her DACA to remain legally in the U.S. was arrested by immigration agents in Mississippi on Wednesday. Daniela Vargas, 22, was detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement after speaking at a press conference about undocumented migrants’ rights. she said about the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program. Vargas’ brother and father were arrested and detained in February after immigration agents arrived at their home.
