Trump team considered using National Guard troops for immigration roundups

President Donald Trump is still weighing options when it comes to dealing with undocumented immigrants. According to a memo obtained by The Associated Press, the Trump administration has considered using National Guard members to round up unauthorized immigrants. The 11-page document calls for the unprecedented militarization of immigration enforcement as far north as Portland, Oregon, and as far east as New Orleans, Louisiana. There are states in the proposal that border on Mexico, including California, New Mexico, Arizona and Texas. A Department of Homeland Security official said the document was a very early draft. White House press secretary Sean Spicer said the document was "not a White House document."
