Trump was the only U.S. president in recent years who did not send holiday greetings to China on the exact day of the holiday. It is unknown whether it was an oversight or intentional. "President Trump stated that he looks forward to working with President Xi to develop a constructive relationship that benefits both the United States and China," a White House statement read. Trump has repeatedly accused China of manipulating currencies and conducting unfair trade practices.
