Traditions and cultural events are meant to bring people together and celebrate. Sometimes however, certain traditions and events have become controversial over the years, even downright dangerous. Bullfighting, humiliating initiation ceremonies and other such events that bring death, cruelty and unhealthy practices have persevered over the years despite cries for their banning. While the cries have been getting louder, there are still some events around the world that have still continued despite the criticism. While some are on the brink of disappearing forever, already banned in some countries, other are continuing just as strong as ever.
Controversial and dangerous, there are some events around the world that have been going on for years. But just because that’s always how it’s been, doesn’t mean it should stay that way. Here are ten events that should be banned.
