An amusement park in Japan froze thousands of fish in a skating rink, sparking a massive outcry among visitors. Space World was criticized on social media after opening the rink on Nov. 12, displaying 5,000 dead fish in the ice of the skating rink. About 25 different types of fish were in the 820-foot-long ice circuit. Space World said they are remorseful for inciting such emotions and ensured patrons that the fish were dead before the water was frozen. The operator of the amusement park plans to hold a memorial service for the fish once they're taken out of the ice.
