Pluto may have massive ocean under icy surface

Researchers have found evidence that Pluto may have an ocean beneath its icy crust, after studying a heart-shaped feature on its surface. The heart shape is believed to have formed after a meteorite slammed into its surface billions of years ago, creating a crater full of nitrogen ice. The dwarf planet then tipped over, due to the vast ocean that formed under its frozen crust. Unfortunately, scientists are unable to test this theory until researchers can measure Pluto’s gravity by placing an object in orbit around Pluto.
