Gregg Allman Facing Serious Health Issues After Suffering from Hepatitis C

The Associated Press is reporting that singer Gregg Allman is cancelling shows until late October due to recent health issues. A statement was released on Friday noting the issues are serious, and that the 68 year old Allman is currently under physician care at a facility. Canceled performances for the former key's player and vocalist for The Allman Brothers Band include festival appearances, and a tour with ZZ Top. In the statement, Allman said he wants to thank his "fans and friends for supporting me while I rest up and focus on getting better and back on the road as soon as I can."
