Cash Money and Birdman feud aside, Lil Wayne continues to focus on his business.
In an interview with Bleacher Report, the New Orleans rap mogul discussed launching Young Money Sports and recently signing NFL free agent Reggie Northrup.
Honestly, it felt like something I was supposed to do.
I also understood that you can actually help these athletes off the field, off the court and once I figured that out, that's what made me do it.
Having scoped out the likes of Nicki Minaj and Drake, Wayne says he could also parlay his eye for talent in musicians to athletes.
First of all, I had to pay attention to what I was doing as an entrepreneur, as a business man and start to notice that you can do that not only for my fellow artists and other people signed to my label or musicians, I can do that for an athlete as well.
