ROWLAND HEIGHTS, CALIFORNIA — An old woman has earned internet infamy after her horrible mistreatment of an innocent kid was, naturally, caught on camera.

CBSLA reports that said incident began outside a Target store in Rowland Heights, California, where a girl was selling candy for a dollar apiece.

Shopper Andy Lizarraga was leaving the store when she saw an old woman march up to the girl and demand to know whether she had permission or a license to sell her wares. The girl didn’t, and told the woman she was just selling candy to make money.

The woman continued to yell and scream at the child, telling her that sheriffs were on the way and that she would go to jail.

Lizarraga began recording a video of the altercation, which shows a man, later identified as Jay Lopez, stepping in to confront the old woman for harassing the girl. After talking back and forth, Lopez decided to stop the argument by saying he would buy all the candy the girl was selling.

The heroic man went in to get money and came out to get his $80 box of candy, which he then proceeded to give it out to people passing by.
