00:04 today, Wednesday October the 11th. A disabled author who penned a novel about a
00:09 stroke victim who targets his neighbours after developing superpowers has
00:13 appeared in court accused of carrying out a hate campaign against his own
00:17 neighbours. David Aston from North Berwick is alleged to have carried out a
00:21 shocking series of acts against nearby residents including spreading rumours
00:25 that they were drug dealers and were abusing their children. Aston 55 and his
00:30 wife Jacqueline are said to have reported neighbours Stuart McMorris and
00:33 Katrina Henderson to the police and the NSPCC claiming the pair were guilty of
00:39 child neglect. The case at Edinburgh Sheriff Court continues. Elsewhere a popular
00:47 Edinburgh Park Bistro forced to close eight months ago due to mounting bills
00:51 has reopened under new ownership. The garden bistro in Stockton Park
00:56 Wald Gardens described as a godsend during lockdown announced its sad
01:00 closure in February. Now though the eatery has reopened its doors after
01:06 charity Four Square gave it a new lease of life. The Four Square Park Cafe which
01:12 is open daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. is a social enterprise. As well as serving up
01:16 affordable food and drink it generates much needed income and provides
01:21 volunteering and training opportunities for individuals who face homelessness in
01:24 Edinburgh. And in other news a Mexican pop-up restaurant in Edinburgh that has
01:31 previously appeared at various bars and street food markets will take up full
01:35 time residency at the Bullfinch pub in Leith this weekend. Guisados which
01:40 serves traditional Mexican cuisine combines traditional methods with fresh
01:44 local produce and authentic ingredients to summon the deep
01:48 vibrant flavors of Mexico. And a top-rated Thai restaurant chain has
01:56 revealed the opening date for its new venture in Edinburgh city centre.
02:01 Rosa's Thai who boasts 36 restaurants across the UK including a recently
02:06 opened branch in Glasgow are coming to Frederick Street next month. It will
02:10 officially open its doors on Monday November 13th. That's brought you up to
