'Affluenza' teen sentenced to two years in jail

A Texas teen made his first appearance in an adult court after receiving probation for his affluenza defense following a 2013 drunk-driving accident that killed four people.
A State District Judge ordered Ethan Couch to spend 180 days in jail for each of the four people he killed.
It's not clear whether time served will be taken into account.
Couch's case was moved to an adult court after he turned 19.
He was 16 years old at the time when he crashed his pickup truck into a crowd of people helping a motorist.
He is known as "affluenza" teen because his defense attorney claimed his affluent upbringing hindered him in understanding the gravity of the situation.
