American observance of religious rituals is on the wane, according to a new study from University College London and Duke University.

American observance of religious rituals is on the wane, according to a new study from University College London and Duke University.
Publishing in the American Journal of Sociology, the researchers note that the number Americans who believe in God, attend church regularly, and identify with a particular religious sect are all in slow, but steady decline.
Such changes appear to be generational. 
According to a summary of the findings, "...68% Americans aged 65 and over said they had no doubt God existed compared to 45% of young adults, aged 18-30. 41% of people 70 and older said they attend church services at least once a month,
