Traffic chaos at Tottenham Court Road as traffic lights powered off

Footage has emerged of traffic chaos in front of the Tottenham Court Road Tube Station after the traffic lights were powered off.

The footage, shot on Wednesday shortly before 4pm, shows cars and buses driving across the crossroad at the same time in a chaotic way while pedestrians try to cross the busy roads.

According to the filmer, the power had been off on the crossroads and in St Giles Casino for half an hour already before he started filming.
