Suspected Tel Aviv shooter killed by police in northern Israel: reports

Nashaat Melhem, the Arab-Israeli suspected of carrying out the deadly shooting attack in Tel Aviv that killed two on January first has been shot dead by police in Arara, in northern Israel, media reports.
Two people were killed and at least seven wounded last Friday when the gunman opened fire with a semi-automatic rifle on a pub and nearby cafe in central Tel Aviv, but the motive behind the attack was not immediately clear.
For the last week police have been conducting a massive manhunt in Tel Aviv, in the area surrounding the alleged shooter's home town in northern Israel, and along the Israel- West Bank seamline.
