Radish: a piece of art

Farmers in Oaxaca showcased their carving talent on Wednesday (23DEC2015) during the annual Night of the Radish festival. The century-old event known to locals as ‘Noche de Rabanos’ brings locals and tourists alike to the small downtown square. Skillful artisans cut, peel, carve, and grate radishes to create religious scenes or figures resembling famous characters.
