French street artist JR has erected two giant art installations in Rio de Janeiro depicting a high jumper and a swimmer, as the 2016 Olympic Games continue to take place in the city.
A huge installation of Sudanese high jumper Ali Mohd Younes Idriss – missing the Games through injury – has been placed on a building near Flamenco beach.
The swimmer installation has been placed in the Barra neighborhood close to the Olympic Park.
In a separate installation in downtown Rio, locals and tourists are printing out poster-sized photographs from a photo booth inside a truck that has been painted to look like a digital camera.
