During Barbara Walters' latest ABC special, "The 10 Most Fascinating People of 2015," Bradley Cooper opens up about his late father, Charles Cooper, who died in 2011 after battling a long illness.
The actor has been nominated for countless awards, but his role in his most recent Oscar nominated movie, American Sniper, would have made his father especially overjoyed.
"I think he wouldn't believe it," Cooper tells Walters.
"I really wish, I mean thank God he was alive for so many of the successes, but like the Clint Eastwood thing he would have really loved that was one of his heroes."
Furthermore, Cooper's lead role in The Elephant Man on Broadway - which went on to be nominated for a Tony Award brings back childhood memories of his father introducing him to the film version.
