Rising River Causes Flooding in Western Ireland

Rising Shannon River and the aftermath of the Storm Desmond, which brought heavy rain, have caused flooding in the village of Clonlara in Claire County, Ireland. The Irish Electrical Supply Board has responded to the recent floods by increasing the water discharge that comes through the Parteen Weir that is located on the river Shannon.According to the reports some parts of Limerick city were also flooded on Monday, December 14, as the river levels continue to rise.
