US judge orders review of Pollard's parole conditions

A US judge on Monday ordered that the conditions of the freed Israeli-American spy Jonathan Pollard be reviewed, Reuters reported.
The news agency cited Manhattan District Judge Katherine Forrest as saying the Parole Commission has provided "little basis" to justify why Pollard, 61, should at all times don an electronic bracelet and have his electronic communications monitored.
She demanded that the Commission assess whether the one-time civilian intelligence analyst for the US Navy, who spent 30 years behind bars after being convicted of giving Israel thousands of classified documents, still possessed confidential information.
"If there is secret information Jonathan Pollard could disclose, then restrictive conditions could be necessary," Forrest was quoted as saying.
Pollard was last month released on parole from the facility in Butner, North Carolina, where he has been serving a life sentence.
