Most of the time when we uppity music critics start looking over Grammy nomination lists and choosing winners, we call it "predictions.''
This time, though, the "predictions'' for the winners in the 58th annual Grammy Awards , to be presented on CBS on Monday, Feb. 15, we're going to call them what they are: "guesses.''
Album of the year: Alabama Shakes, "Sound and Color''; Kendrick Lamar, "To Pimp a Butterfly''; Chris Stapleton, "Traveller''; Taylor Swift, "1989''; The Weeknd, "Beauty Behind the Madness.
This is a pretty strong category, I love, love, LOVE Alabama Shakes' singer and guitarist Brittany Howard, and former Steep Canyon Rangers lead singer Chris Stapleton has surprised everyone with his success in mainstream country.
