Nigeria orders reinforcements to the southeast where protests calling for an independent Biafran state have turned violent. Also, a group of survivors of Rwanda's 1994 genocide are calling for the indictment of two French officers. They accuse them of turning their backs on communities facing massacre.
And Madagascar is struggling to raise awareness amongst poor rural communities about what they can do to lessen the risk of catching the plague.
