Viti 2012 ka qene një periudhe kur demi ekonomik i shkaktuar ne financat publike ka njohur rritje te ndjeshme, ne raport me një vit me pare. Kontrolli i Larte i Shteti ka evidentuar një shume prej 13 miliard leke. Sipas KLSH dy janë kompanitë qe mbajnë peshën me te madhe, i pari Albpetrol dhe e dyta korporata elektronergjetike.
Këto dëme janë te akumuluara ne vite, ku kontraktore te ndryshëm nuk i shlyejnë detyrimet dy kompanive Albeptorol dhe KESH. Gjate diskutimit te raporti vjetore te KLSH ne komisionin e Ekonomisë, opozita ngriti shqetësimin mbi ndryshimin e ligjit për ndarjen e reklamave shtetërore, një sugjerim ky i bere edhe nga KLSH, por qe ende nuk eshte marre ne konsiderate nga qeveria. Lidhur me zhurmën e madhe te kontratave koncesionare ne energjetike, KLSH pas kontrollit te ushtruar ka evidentuar se 24 prej tyre janë ne shkelje. KLSH tha se do te ushtroj nje kontroll edhe ne ministrinë e mbrojtës për procesin e shitjes se pasurisë publike nga ky institucion, si dhe do te auditoje edhe bankën e Shqipërisë për shpenzime publike te saj.
