Kreu i PDIU, Shpëtim Idrizi, iu bashkohet zërave qe kërkojnë ndryshime ne qeverinë e kryeministrit Sali Berisha. Përballë një paneli gazetaresh dhe politologësh, Idrizi është shprehur kundër ministrave qe kane 7 vjet ne kabinet. Një tjetër rezerve e kreut te PDIU ne raport me kryeministrin Berisha është edhe marrëveshja për bashkëqeverisje, për te cilën ai është i pakënaqur, duke theksuar se PDIU meriton një post ministri përveç 4 zv/ministrave. Duke iu referuar garës presidenciale, Idrizi ka deklaruar se pavarësisht se mbështet një president qe merr me shume se 71 vota, me ndryshimet kushtetuese te prillit 2008 kreu i shtetit është atribut i mazhorances. Ndërkohë qe duke iu referuar një kandidimi te mundshëm te Ilir Metës për kreun e shtetit, Idrizi ka deklaruar se këtë çështje Meta duhet ta zgjidhe me PD. Idrizi ka saktësuar se 2 votat e PDIU do te jene për qeverinë Berisha, pavarësisht lëvizjeve politike ne parlament. Sipas shpëtimit Idrizit, një qeveri dhe një mazhorance mund te ndryshohet vetëm me zgjedhje dhe jo me aleanca ne parlament.
