Pozicioni ndaj dialogut për çështje politike me Serbinë ka pësuar ndryshime dramatike te liderë të rëndësishëm shtetërorë e politikë të Kosovës, duke përfshirë edhe atë nga radhët e opozitës.
Presidentja e Kosovës, Atifete Jahjaga, kryeministri Hashim Thaçi, por edhe përfaqësues të Aleancës për Ardhmërinë e Kosovës, kanë dalë edhe publikisht në favor të nisjes së diskutimeve me Serbinë për çështje politike, një gjë që deri para pak kohe deklarohej si "vijë e kuqe" që nuk do të shkelej, shkruan Koha Ditore. Dialogu për çështje politike, i paralajmëruar para pak kohe, nga diplomatë evropianë si "dialog me D të madhe", ka nisur të konsiderohet si mjet i nevojshëm për zgjidhjen e çështjeve.Hapjes së bisedimeve politike me Serbinë, i pari mbështetjen publike ia ka dhënë nënkryetari i AAK-së opozitare, Blerim Shala.
