An airbag that peppers you in shrapnel? Toyota, Nissan issue massive recall

Toyota Motor Corp. and Nissan Motor Co. have issued a global recall of millions of vehicles over problems with their airbags, which are designed by Japanese supplier Takata Corps.

Toyota said on Wednesday that it is recalling around 5 million vehicles globally due to of airbag problems. The recall will affect 35 Toyota models globally. Nissan has recalled another 1.56 million vehicles globally for the same airbag problems.
