While many claim PS4 is the future of shooter gaming, Xbox One proves that this isn’t the case. Never mind exclusives with the PlayStation 4, Xbox One has the future of the first person shooter genre tied to their console. Aaron Greenberg of Xbox One remarks that we feel like we’ll continue to be where more of the core shooter fans continue to play. In terms of console performance, Xbox One is also trying to up their ante with the upcoming New Xbox One Experience. While PlayStation 4 users are also saying that the shift of the shooter fans is because of the PS4 controller, this may not be the case with the new Xbox One Elite controller dominating the gaming scene. Reports are just coming in that Xbox One Elite controllers are already sold out in most local and online retailers.
