Michigan university student dies saving girl from speeding car

MOUNT PLEASANT, MICHIGAN — A 17-year-old Central Michigan University student who recently lost his brother in a car crash died a hero trying to save a friend from a speeding car.
Fox 2 reports that Ryan Tsatsos and five other friends were walking home from a Halloween party along a dimly lit stretch of South Crawford road in Michigan just after midnight on Sunday. They didn't notice a dark-colored, older, four-door sedan speeding towards them at 80 miles per hour, nearly hitting a girl who, at the last minute, was saved when Tsatsos pushed her out of the car's path.
The vehicle instead struck 17-year-old Tsatsos, sending him flying some 30 feet into a ditch from the impact.
A friend studying to be a nurse stayed to help until rescuers arrived, but Tsatsos was later pronounced dead.
The girl who was saved, identified as Christina Magda, was not at the scene when authorities arrived. She was found several hours later with minor injuries, but refused medical treatment, according to The Morning Sun.
A $1,000 reward is being offered for information that could lead to the arrest of the driver responsible for the tragic death.
