Aunt sues young nephew for $127k because he accidentally broke her wrist— when he was 8 years old!

NEW YORK-- In the country where you can be sued for almost anything, a 54-year-old New York aunt has decided to sue her 12-year-old nephew over an accident that happened four years ago.

The whole thing started when Jennifer Connell attended her nephew Sean's birthday party in 2011, where, she says, her then 8-year-old nephew lept into her arms shouting, "Auntie Jen, I love you!"

After catching him, they fell, and the tumble left her with a broken wrist. She didn't complain because it was his birthday. However, now she's suing Sean ? whose mother died last year ? for $127,000 because of the injury.

Apparently, she's suffering because of the fall. Connell claims she struggles to walk up to her third-floor Manhattan apartment and recently found it difficult to hold a hors d'oeuvre plate at a party.

As if that wasn't bad enough, the lawsuit reportedly claims that a reasonable 8-year-old would've known not to do jump into his Aunt's arms with such force. That's fair enough, but one might also argue that a reasonable aunt wouldn't sue her 12-year-old nephew for $127,000 over a stupid accident.
