Cuba Says Normal Relations with US Require Lifting Blockade

Cuban President Raul Castro told the UN General Assembly yesterday that normal relations with the United States will only be possible when Washington lifts its economic blockade of the island. He also called for the return of the Guantanamo Naval base to Cuba and an end to U.S. programs designed to promote subversion and destabilization on the island.
