U.S. Blames Cuba for its Vote Against Lifting Blockade
  • 8 years ago
The U.S. Representative to the U.N. Ronald D. Godard said that it was unfortunate that Cuba had presented a resolution to the international body that was almost identical to the one presented the year before—one that doesn’t reflect steps taken by President Barack Obama to improve relations. “As a result, the United States cannot support it,” he said. The Russian, Chinese and CELAC representatives, on the other hand, voiced the overwhelming call of the world’s nations for the United States to adhere to international law and lift the economic, commercial and foreign blockade against Cuba. teleSUR
