Pope Francis met with Fidel Castro, the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, for 40 minutes yesterday. The informal meeting, held in the home of the former Cuban president in Havana, touched on topics such as world politics, the environment, and religion. Previously, in an open air mass, the Pope warned Cubans to beware of the dangers of ideology and the lure of selfishness. He also met with Cuban President Raul Castro. On Tuesday, the Pontiff will travel to the United States. teleSUR
