Over the past few days, there has been much attention on the clashes between Hindu devotees and enforcement authorities at a temple in Rimba Jaya near Shah Alam.

On the same day that the temple was demolished, about 150 houses were brought to the ground. These 150 houses were the last of Kg Rimba Jaya which once contained over 2,000 inhabitants.

Also brought down was the kampung's surau, but the authorities consented to the surau committee's request that they dismantle the structure themselves.
