Rejoice offroaders as the king of offroader is back in India with yet another car. The Land Rover Discovery Sport has been launched in the country at a starting price of Rs.46.10 lakh and going up to a maximum of Rs.62.18 lakh for the top most variant. The car will be available in four trim levels in two different seating arrangements. Only one engine option has been made available for now across all variants.
One look at the Discovery Sport and it is not difficult to make out that it has influences borrowed from the Range Rover Evoque as well the Discovery Vision Concept.
A 2.2-liter four-cylinder diesel unit powers the Sport which is capable of churning out a peak power of 148bhp and a peak torque of 400Nm, The engine is attached to a massive nine-speed automatic transmission. Apart from that the Discovery Sport comes with things like hill descent control. LRs terrain response system, ABS, roll stability control, dynamic stability control and traction control as standard features across all variants. The top end variants will get an extra feature named adaptive dynamics with MagneRide.
