A more realistic estate version of the Vauxhall Astra has been unveiled by General Motors just ahead of the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show. Although the new Astra was first revealed back in June this year, one had to wait a little to see the Estate version of the hatchback.
Design wise the new Astra Sport has a lot of similarities to its conventionally styled cousin, especially in the frontal segment with the same wide grille and LED headlights. On sides is where the differences become more apparent with sloping roofline and curved window line that dips towards the back of the car.
Although on the outside the new Astra retains its earlier size, on the inside the car is bigger. According to Vauxhall, an additional 26mm of front passenger and 28mm of rear passenger headroom has been added.
