IKEA Distributing Free Wall-Mounting Kits After Furniture-Related Deaths
  • 9 years ago
IKEA has announced that it is offering free wall-mounting kits for some of its dressers and chests after tip overs of unsecured furniture resulted in the deaths of two kids last year.

The world’s largest furniture retailer is taking action after its products were involved in two fatal accidents in 2014.
IKEA, in conjunction with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, is offering free wall anchoring kits for select products to prevent tip over.
Included are the MALM style of chests and dressers for kids with a height greater than 23 ½ inches and adult versions taller than 29 ½ inches.
