Nestlé To Destroy $50 Million In Product As A Result Of India’s Maggi Noodles Ban

Nestlé will be destroying an enormous quantity of the Maggi Noodles subjected to a ban in India, and the loss is expected to hover around the $50M mark.

Maggi instant noodles are wildly popular in India, but recently, high amounts of lead were allegedly found in packets, resulting in the brand being removed from shelves. 

The label is owned by Nestlé, and though the corporation denies there’s anything wrong with their product, they will be destroying an enormous quantity of it.

Losses associated with destruction of the goods are expected to be around 50 million dollars.
