At least 30 people were killed and dozens more injured in a suicide bomb attack at a funeral in northern Pakistan on Tuesday, according to a Reuters report.

The attack took place during the funeral of an influential local businessman in the city of Mardan.

The bomber wore a suicide vest packed with ball bearings and detonated the device amidst a crowd of hundreds of mourners. Local officials believe the suspected bomber was an Uzbek national, according to a report by Pakistan's Express Tribune.

The dead included a provincial legislator linked to the party of former cricketer-turned-politician Imran Khan.

No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack.
