Mugging fail caught on camera: thugs try to rob gun-packing Brazilian off-duty cop

An off-duty police officer barely dodged bullets after stopping an attempted robbery outside a mosque in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
The video, posted to video-sharing site LiveLeak, shows an off-duty officer killing one of the thieves from inside his vehicle.
The second thief in the video was later arrested by Brazilian police and his gun was seized as evidence.
The victimized police officer had a bullet graze the side of his head, but is in stable condition.
