Nutcase closed as Korean Air vice-president jailed for roasting steward over the way he served up his nuts

A South Korean court has sentenced the daughter of the chairman of Korean Air to a one year jail term for breaking aviation law.

The nuts and the bolts of the case are as follows, on a flight from New York to Seoul Heather Cho took exception to the steward’s nuts, to be precise the way he served them.

Madame Cho likes her nuts in a bowl, not in a bag and in a salty exchange she gave the steward a roasting and demanded the aircraft return to the gate to offload offending crew member.

Cho also took a swipe at another member of the cabin crew with a service manual.

She has since publically apologised for her nutty outburst and resigned her post as vice-president of the airline.

The nutcase is now closed.
