Ukraine: Rebels boost efforts to push back army

Separatist rebels in eastern Ukraine are stepping up efforts to push back government troops. The rebels have called for a popular mobilization to boost their strength to 100,000 in coming weeks. The US, meanwhile, is considering providing weapons to Kiev to fight the rebels. Kiev also faces internal opposition, as the right-wing Aidar Batallion, comprised of nationalist and neo-Nazi forces- surrounded the Defense Ministry to oppose a government decision to disband the paramilitary formation. teleSUR
