Egypt: Protests to mark 2011 uprising anniversary turn deadly

In Egypt, the fourth anniversary of the uprising that toppled Hosni Mubarak turned violent on Sunday.
Several people were killed and dozens arrested. Numerous protesters died when clashes broke out with security forces in Cairo.
Activists were mourning the death of a female protester on Saturday, killed during a remembrance for those who died during the revolt.
Elsewhere in the city, two policemen were injured in a bomb attack at a police station.
Others protesters were killed in Alexandria, Egypt’s second largest city, where a city tram was firebombed.
The current government has adopted a zero tolerance for street protests. A law adopted in 2013 banned them without prior permission.
Police have sealed off Cairo’s Tahrir Square and tightened security elsewhere.
