Mexico: Millions of pilgrims for Mexican patron saint's day

Millions of devote Catholic pilgrims descended on Mexico City's Basilica church and shrine to the country's patron saint, the Virgin of Guadalupe, on Thursday night and Friday. Veneration of the Virgin of Guadalupe, a symbol of Mexican identity, also promotes feelings of community and solidarity among the faithful.
