At least two people are dead after Typhoon Vongfong hit Japan.

The strongest storm yet this year has injured nearly a hundred. One more is still missing.

It smashed into southwest Japan on Monday, forcing the evacuation of more than 800,000 people.

Overnight, it reduced to a tropical storm, bringing torrential rain and winds to Tokyo.

On Tuesday, it's reported to be leaving Japan's northeast coast.
