Typhoon Vamco, the Philippines’ deadliest of the year, kills at least 67 before reaching Vietnam

The death toll in the Philippines continued to rise after Typhoon Vamco tore through the country’s main island of Luzon on November 11, 2020. As of November 16, at least 67 people had been confirmed dead and nearly 26,000 houses reported damaged. On November 15, the Philippines’ worst storm of the year had weakened as it headed toward Vietnam where it caused damage to buildings and trees.
