Panties bandit copped a plea for stealing 1,850 pairs of briefs and gym gear

Kouji Matsuki, a 41-year-old scaffolder, was nailed for stealing knickers and girl's gym clothes totalling 1,850 units in Niihama City, Ehime Prefecture, Japan earlier this month.
According to police, he was suspected of stealing the knickers from household washing machines in Niihama City since this past August.
While police questioned him about other cases, they asked him to confess to other thefts in return for a lighter sentence. He then admitted other lingerie thefts. He obediently admitted his lingerie theft. He then led police to his flat where they discovered 1,850 hidden items of female underwear, stockings and even girl's gym uniforms.
He confessed to all charges during questioning, saying that he took clothes left hanging outside or in washing machines, as long as he liked them.
